The Académie des beaux-arts (Academy of Fine Arts) is a French learned society. It is one of the five academies of the Institut de France.

The members are grouped seven sections:

Section I

The number of members of the Painting section was reduced from 14 to 12 by the decree # 67-778 of August 23, 1967. As a consequence, the seats #3 and#14 were suppressed. Their number was further decreased from 12 to 11 by decree on June 16, 1987. The seat #12 was transferred to section VII.
