Abu Yusuf Ya'qub al-Mansur (Arabic: ابو يوسف يعقوب المنصور) (c. 1160 – January 23, 1199) (also known as Moulay Yacoub), was the third Almohad caliph, succeeding his father Abu Ya'qub Yusuf. He reigned from 1184 until 1199. He died in Marrakech, Morocco. During his reign, he undertook several major projects. He built the Koutoubia Mosque in Marrakech and attempted to build what would have been the world's largest mosque in Rabat. However, construction on the mosque stopped after al-Mansur died. Only the beginnings of the mosque had been completed, including the Hassan Tower. Al-Mansur protected the philosopher Averroes and kept him as a favorite at court.
In the Battle of Alarcos, on July 18, 1195, he defeated Castilian King Alfonso VIII. After victory, he took the title al-Mansur Billah ("Made Victorious by God").
It's also known about Abu Yusuf Ya'qub al-Mansur (also known as Al-Sultan Ya'qub) that he reached a point in his life where he felt that he should spend more time getting closer to God through worship and meditation, he moved from Morroco and settled in a small mountainous region in the Middle_East in country that is now known as Lebanon.
The exact location that the Sultan moved to is in the West_Bekaa portion of Lebanon. He then escorted by some of his guards built a small place for him to worship God in and to live in.
The Sultan spent the rest of his days in his worship-house until his death in 1199. His faith and love for God made him an icon of faith and humility in the eyes of the locals of the area back then. He was buried in the place he built, and his grave has become a shrine that people from many areas come and visit in hope of getting there prayers answered through him.
Nowadays that village that he lived and got buried in is called Al_Sultan Yacoube and it was called that after the humble Sultan that wanted nothing at the end of his time but to get closer to God himself through prayer and humility according to the locals of Al-Sultan Yacoube.
His shrine nowadays is part of the Al_Sultan Yacoube's recently built Mosque and is still in a very good condition.
Here is a picture of the lower part of Al_Sultan Yacoube village, it's referred to as Al_Sultan Yacoube El_Tahta in the Lebanese language, meaning the lower part of Al_Sultan Yacoube it's also named Lucy by the locals.
