Olivetti Research Laboratory in
Cambridge,
England.
SBC Laboratories

1988 as the research and development division of
SBC Communications, Inc.
The New AT&T Labs
In
2005,
SBC Communications and
AT&T Corp. merged to form AT&T Inc., "The New AT&T". AT&T Laboratories, Inc. became the new name of the combination of the original AT&T Laboratories and SBC Laboratories.
