The 79th Academy Awards ceremony, honoring the best in film for 2006, is scheduled to be held on Sunday, February 25, 2007 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, California. This will be the sixth time that the Kodak Theatre has hosted the ceremonies. It will also be the 32nd time that the ceremony will be televised in the United States by ABC, which is under contract through 2014. ^*

The nominees will be announced on Tuesday, January 23, 2007, 5:30 a.m. PST, at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater.
