The 1984 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XIV Olympic Winter Games, were held in 1984 in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia. Other candidate cities were Sapporo, Japan; and Falun/Gothenburg, Sweden.
