The École supérieure d'optique (informally SupOptique) is one of the French grandes écoles, specializing in optics, and the teaching branch of the Institut d'Optique. It is located at the Centre scientifique - Bat. 503, 91403 Orsay Cedex, Paris, France.
SupOptique provides undergraduate, apprenticeship, graduate, and continuing education in optics. A number of noted French optical scientists have been associated with SupOptique, including Henri Chrétien, Charles Fabry, André Maréchal, and Jules Violle.
As of 2006 the school had 29 permanent faculty members and 234 students.
