Der World Cup of Hockey ist ein Eishockey-Turnier, das im Jahr 1996 vom 26. August bis zum 14. September zum ersten Mal stattfand. Die nordamerikanische Profiliga, NHL, sowie die NHL-Spielergesellschaft NHLPA veranstalten das Turnier gemeinsam und in Kooperation mit der Internationalen Eishockey-Föderation (IIHF).
Die Mannschaften waren in den North American Pool (NA) sowie den European Pool (E) unterteilt, die Austragungsorte waren Helsinki, Vancouver, Prag, Stockholm, Toronto, Philadelphia, Ottawa, Montreal, New York City und Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
