Verizon Communications, oder kurz Verizon, ist eine US-amerikanischen Telekommunikationsunternehmen. Das Unternehmen entstand aus einer Kooperation aus Bell Atlantic und GTE. Das Unternehmen beschäftigt 203.000 Angestellte (Stand 2003).

Verizon Wireless, das als Joint Venture zwischen Verizon und Vodafone entstand, ist mittlerweile der zweitgrößte Mobilfunk-Anbieter in den USA. Verizon Communications hält die Mehrheit an Verizon Wireless.

Verizon hat 2005 die MCI-Gruppe für 6,75 Mrd Dollar (5,2 Mrd Euro) aufgekauft.
