Stabile Isotope sind die Isotope eines chemischen Elements, die nicht radioaktiv sind, also nicht zerfallen und daher stabil bleiben.

In der Nuklidkarte sind die stabilen Isotope in der Regel in der Mitte zu finden. Sie zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass im Atomkern etwas mehr Neutronen vorhanden sind als Protonen.
