Bolton Abbey 7.jpg]] North Yorkshire ^* ist eine Grafschaft in der Region Yorkshire and the Humber in England. Sie ist in die Distritke Craven (District), Hambleton, Harrogate, Richmondshire, Ryedale, Scarborough und Selby unterteilt.

In North Yorkshire liegen zwei der elf Nationalparks von England und Wales, nämlich der North York Moors National Park und der größte Teil der Yorkshire Dales.

Die Grafschaft entstand 1974 und erstreckt sich auf die größeren Teil von North Riding of Yorkshire, die nördliche Hälfte des West Riding of Yorkshire und die nördlichen und östlichen Ränder des East Riding of Yorkshire. Die Stadt York wurde 1996 eine von North Yorkshire unabhängige Unitary Authority; seit dem gehören auch Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland und Stockton-on-Tees südlich des Flusses Tees für zeremonielle Zwecke zu North Yorkshire. Zuvor war sie von 1974 bis 1996 Teile der Grafschaft Cleveland, davor gehörten sie zum North Riding.

North Yorkshire grenzt an East Riding of Yorkshire, South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire, Lancashire, Cumbria und County Durham.
