MUSE (Multiple sub-nyquist sampling Encoding) ist ein japanischer analoger HDTV-Übertragungs-Standard. Nach dem MUSE-Verfahren werden noch immer HDTV-Programme (Hi-Vision) via Satellit übertragen. Eine terrestrische Ausstrahlung wurde ebenfalls vorgeführt, bekam aber keine Marktbedeutung.
