Locus (lat: Ort pl.: Loci) bzw. Genlocus (Genort) nennt man die (physikalische) Position einer DNA-Sequenz im Genom, bei Verteilung des Genoms auf mehrere Chromosomen die Position innerhalb dieses Chromosoms.
