Die Johns-Hopkins-Universität (JHU) ist eine private Elite-Universität in Baltimore, USA. Sie wurde am 22. Februar 1876 gegründet. Ihren Namen erhielt sie von Johns Hopkins, der der Universität nach seinem Tod 1873 ein Erbe von 7 Mio. US-Dollar vermachte.

Die JHU besteht aus acht akademischen Instituten, verteilt auf vier Standorte:

• Homewood Campus (im Norden Baltimores):

  • G.W.C Whiting School of Engineering
  • School of Professional Studies in Business and Education
• East Baltimore Campus (im Osten Baltimores):
  • School of Medicine

• Mount Vernon Place (im Stadtzentrum von Baltimore):
  • The Peabody Institute (school of music)
• Außenstelle in Washington, D.C.:
