Wissenschaftlicher Name Symphytum Beinwell.jpg Beinwell (Sýmphytum) ist eine Pflanzengattung, die zu den Raublattgewächsen (Boraginaceae) gehört.

Die Gattung umfasst etwa 25 bis 35 Arten, die in Europa, Nordafrika und im westlichen Asien beheimatet sind. Es sind behaarte mehrjährige, krautige Pflanzen, denen allen gemeinsam ist, dass sie sehr schnell wachsen und im Garten rasch lästig werden können. Im Garten werden die Beinwellarten gerne als Mulchmaterial verwendet. Beinwelljauche ist ein hervorragender organischer Stickstoff-Dünger. (Siehe auch Pflanzenjauche)
